Directors

The World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of breast cancer survivors, health researchers, breast care advocates, and community representatives from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia who are knowledgeable in breast cancer issues. The Foundation Board directs conference planning activities through international networking, sponsor relationships, and event planning contractors.

Dr. Tam Truong Donnelly

Dr. Tam Truong Donnelly is an Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing and an Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary.

 

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dalhousie University, a Master degree in Nursing and a Doctoral degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Prior to coming to Canada in 1979, she completed four years of Medicine in Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam. Dr. Donnelly’s research area is Health and Wellness of Immigrants and Refugees which include Immigrants and Refugees’ mental healthcare, immigrant women’s breast cancer and cervical cancer screening practices, and HIV/AIDS. Dr. Donnelly’s research is supported by the National Cancer Institute of Canada (NCIC) and the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR).
