Directors
The World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of breast cancer survivors, health researchers, breast care advocates, and community representatives from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia who are knowledgeable in breast cancer issues. The Foundation Board directs conference planning activities through international networking, sponsor relationships, and event planning contractors.
Nina Burford
Nina Burford was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997. Her experience has inspired her to share her personal insights and knowledge in helping others with the disease. She is highly involved in advocacy not only in Labrador City, where she lives, but in her province, nationally and internationally. She is a retired school teacher who spent over 30 years in teaching, as well as in the administrative positions.
