The Board is comprised of breast cancer survivors, health researchers, breast care advocates, and community representatives from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia who are knowledgeable in breast cancer issues. The Foundation Board directs conference planning activities through international networking, sponsor relationships, and event planning contractors.

Lisa Tugnette, Secretary

Diagnosed at 36 with breast cancer, on the same day as her mother, Lisa became the 4th woman in 3 generations of her family to face the cruel disease.  Lisa volunteers her time to breast cancer to give back to her community.  Lisa also sits on the Project Advisory Committee for Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN); Patient Care Team for the Breast Assessment Program at Hotel Dieu Hospital as a Patient Rep; a former member of the Board and Co-Facilitator for Breast Cancer Action Kingston.  Lisa is the author of Reflections of a Woman - My Memoir of Breast Cancer:  Loss, Love & Laughter.  Rather than a grim tale of sickness and pain, Lisa’s story is ultimately one of hope and healing.  Reflections of a Woman is a valuable resource for breast-cancer patients, particularly those under the age of 45, seeking to cope with the grief of the devastating diagnosis and the difficult road to recovery.  Lisa appeared on the Life Network’s television show Sexy Girl following her bi-lateral mastectomies.  Lisa lives and works in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in the child protection field, with her husband of 22 years and two amazing teenagers.
