Directors

The World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of breast cancer survivors, health researchers, breast care advocates, and community representatives from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia who are knowledgeable in breast cancer issues. The Foundation Board directs conference planning activities through international networking, sponsor relationships, and event planning contractors.

Pam Depres, Vice President

Pam Depres is a two time breast cancer survivor. She was first diagnosed in 1996 at the age of 32 and then again in 2004 at the age of 39.  Her recent experience with breast cancer has greatly inspired her to share her personal insight and knowledge, in hopes of helping others with this disease. Pam has enjoyed volunteering in the breast cancer community, and has served on the Board for the World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation since 2006.  She also serves on the *Younger and Wiser Planning Committee in Winnipeg, MB, which organizes and hosts various series of information and support evenings for younger women with breast cancer. Younger and Wiser was developed by CancerCare Manitoba’s Patient and Family Support Services, young women who have experienced breast cancer, and Breast Cancer Action Manitoba. Pam has also written and submitted articles for Breast Cancer Action Manitoba, Canadian Breast Cancer Network and Cancercare Manitoba.  She also serves on a National Planning Committee for young women affected by breast cancer (initiated through a national consultation by the Canadian Breast Cancer Network).Along with her volunteer work, Pam works as an Executive Assistant for an independent school in Winnipeg.
