The World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of breast cancer survivors, health researchers, breast care advocates, and community representatives from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia who are knowledgeable in breast cancer issues. The Foundation Board directs conference planning activities through international networking, sponsor relationships, and event planning contractors.
Kim Tempest
Kim Tempest’s mantra is “Passion in Everything” which is exactly the approach she took while fighting her breast cancer diagnosis at 41. Kim has used her experience to educate and support other young women through volunteer efforts with a number of breast cancer focused organizations. Kim has participated on advisory panels; as a guest speaker; written articles for a variety of publications; and has been a media spokesperson for fundraising events. In addition, Kim is currently writing a book which is a humorous account of her personal experience with breast cancer.
