Stella Mazza

Stella Mazza is a 46 year old wife, mother of three, and successful business owner, diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer in fall of 2003. She is a native of Winnipeg; marrying her sweetheart within 2 years after graduating from St. Mary’s Academy. After 6 months of marriage, at the tender age of 20, Stella bravely leaped into her own business, and started Stella’s Bridal and Fashions on Corydon.

During this time she was an active member of the Corydon BIZ Association Board of Directors and held the position of Events Coordinator and later Chair of Marketing Committee for 5 years. She also became involved within her Italian community as President of the Fratellanza Ametese Club for 2 years.

She sold Stella’s Bridal in 2002 to focus on her Design career and to fulfill her desire for a third child. Only a year later came the diagnosis followed by a year of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Now, claiming herself a Cancer Survivor and thriver, her existence has adopted this new world as a life long passionate mission to assist in efforts to eradicate this atrocious disease forever. She has been involved in many committees and projects raising Breast Cancer awareness.

Her latest development to the cause is Stella’s Cup for the Cure - an initiative created consisting of Rooibos Tea [an amazing health aid] packaged for resale. 100% proceeds from sales go directly to the efforts in obtaining 3D Mammography for Manitoba.

Stella currently chairs the Entertainment and Decor Committees for the World Conference and was instrumental in obtaining a video message from Olivia Newton John for the 2008 conference held in Winnipeg
